Ofcom has today published its annual report on the BBC, assessing the corporation’s performance in meeting the needs of viewers and listeners during the period April 2024 to March 2025. The report also includes the findings of Ofcom’s second ‘Periodic Review’ of the BBC.

This interactive report accompanies our eighth annual report on the BBC (2024-2025). It includes data on each of the Public Purposes and how well they have been delivered, across the range of the BBC’s services and platforms.

This is Ofcom’s eighth Annual Report on the BBC in which we assess the BBC’s performance against all areas of our regulation and set out how we have carried out our role.

An Ofcom investigation has today found that the BBC documentary Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone broke broadcasting rules which state that factual programmes must not materially mislead the audience.

This consultation sets out Ofcom’s provisional views on the BBC’s request to make three changes to its Operating Licence.

The BBC is proposing changes to its radio services, by launching four new DAB+ music radio stations; and to extend the broadcasting hours of Radio 5 Sports Extra, changing it from a part-time service offering live sports only, to a service broadcasting daily from 9am-7pm.
